ROBYN'S FETISH CHALLENGE # 174 "RECTANGLE CARDS ONLY"

 

Good Morning to Everyone!! I hope everyone's week went well. This was the first week that my daughter went back to school. Many changes to get use to. I have to make sure that she has dinner before practice, gets her homework done, and make sure she's not texting when she is suppose to be sleeping. I was shocked that one of her friends tried texting her at midnight. She has to be up at 6:00 am. Also, the drama has begun. The first day of school and the girls are already talking about each other and making their own little groups. One group talking about the other and so on. If they only knew that once they are out of school, none of that drama will matter in their life. They were have to learn to become grown ups.

 

Well, let's get to our challenge this week. As the title says we are making only cards that are rectangles. Mayzy Art will be sponsoring our challenge. We were allowed to choose anything in their store. I picked Nimbus The Angel. I love Angels and really believe in them so this image was not hard for me to choose. The background paper has clouds and raindrops on it. It may be a little hard to see. After I put on the flowers I thought it needed something more so I put ribbon coming out from under the flower. These flowers is one of my favorites that I have in my collection. Here's the items that I used to make this card.

ROBYN'S FETISH CHALLENGE BLOG CHALLENGE #173 "PUT A FRAME AROUND IT"

Welcome to another challenge this Sunday. I think you will find this challenge fun. I did. When I seen that we are doing this challenge I had an idea in my head immediately. As you know, my blog is also about Making Memories. Growing up there were no pictures laying around for us to look at. There wasn't those family albums. I wanted to make my children a Family Memory book to see who their family is. My Grandson even asks who is in the picture. I had the picture in my mind when picking out my frame and I also switched things up by doing a scrapbook page to add to that book. It's a picture of my mom from mother's day. We have not spent mother's day together in over a decade. Many reasons behind that but now I can say that there is progress with this mother - daughter relationship.

The frame I chose is called " HYDRANGEA AND BUTTERFLY FRAME." I had never had hydrangea flowers before so I had to look them up to see what colors they come in. When I seen they came in blue, I knew that was the color I wanted to use. Now I'm excited to show you the layout that I made with this hydrangea and butterfly frame with the picture of my mom.

I hope you like my layout. It is done in traditional style scrapbooking then digital. I like digital but I like that I can make my own things to add to my page. Delicious Doodles made a beautiful frame and the hydrangea is absolutely beautiful. The flower in the upper left hand corner was a flower that I made by hand. A lovely woman named Edwina did a tutorial on making flowers and this is where I learned to make these kind of flowers. Thank You Edwina. ROBYN'S FETISH CHALLENGE # 172 "LOTS OF LAYERS"

 

Good Morning Everyone!! Hope you are all having a wonderful week. This has been a great one hear. That's kind of funny to say because we usually have the most drama that I know. My oldest son has a new job. He has wanted to work for this company for months and they finally hired him. He was happy to tell his boss Goodbye. He is an electric line man. My other son went from part-time to full-time construction worker. Finally, my daughter made the soccer team. Tryouts were Monday through Wednesday and they called Wednesday after the last tryout and gave her the news. Then they tell us that she will be in the soccer preview on Saturday. These kids haven't played before but it was just a preview. They didn't win the two games but they never played together yet. After a couple of practices they will all mesh. I also found out that there is a lot more running to practices and games. Seeing her happy makes it all worth while.

Our sponsor this week is Wings & Willows. This is an etsy store where they sell their images. I love the animals they have created. The image that I was lucky to work with is called Follow Your Dreams. It's a hot air balloon with three little animals in the basket. I called mine "Sending You Well Wishes." ROBYN'S FETISH CHALLENGE BLOG CHALLENGE # 171 "ADD A CHARM"

Hello Everyone!! Welcome to this Sunday's challenge post. I can honestly say that I am sitting in weather that feels like September. Here it has been in the very low 80's or high 70's for a whole week. I have had no air conditioning on at all this week. Just open windows and the nice breeze flowing in. It feels like September but those kids just are not in school. My daughter has 17 days left of summer vacation. Mama counting down. I love spending time with her but you just need a break here and there. We will just have our special weekends again. I have two sons but when they get over 20, forget about spending a lot of time with them. They have their own lives to live. Just miss that time with them.

ROBYNS FETISH CHALLENGE # 170 "FRIENDSHIP CARD WITH SENTIMENT ON THE FRONT"

 

Good Morning!! I know that it is early but it is a new Sunday with our new challenge of the week. The weeks seem to get faster and faster with school approaching soon for my daughter. This means buying school clothes, backpacks, shoes and all the required supplies that the school wants. She is going in the 8th grade and qualified for two high school courses to take. I'm so excited for her. She will have two high school credits before she even reaches the ninth grade. I hope she stays on this track all through school. She has the possibility to get scholarships. That would be great because she wants to be a veterinarian. That takes a lot of schooling. She already know how many years she has to attend. I don't know if anyone knows how proud I am of her.

 

 

Jellypark will be our sponsor for this week's challenge. They gave us great images for using on our cards about friends. The sentiments that the design team are great. Hopefully you will get my little saying if not I will tell you after I show you my card. The image that I used is called "Ice Cream Van." So, did you get my little funny in the sentiment? I tried to put green on the ice cream cones because mint chocolate chip ice cream is my favorite so I used it in the sentiment. The paper in the back has many words on it like friends, love star, and many more. This went perfect with the challenge for this week. ROBYN'S FETISH CHALLENGE # 169 "CHRISTMAS IN JULY"

I don't have to let you know that we are at another Sunday for a whole new challenge. Good Morning to everyone and I hope you awake enough for another new and fun challenge. I had fun with my card but the weather was a different story. We went through out first heat wave of the summer here in Ohio. It was in the 90's and with the heat index it felt like we were in hundreds. I only have one window air conditioner so only one room was cool. Believe me we didn't leave that room. This would be a great investment but I rent my home. Now this next week we get in the 80's and rain all week. Where is our happy medium? It always goes to one extreme to another. Well let's move on to the challenge.

THE ROBYN'S FETISH CHALLENGE # 168 "THINGS WITH WINGS"

 

Good Morning to everyone. I'm back from my little vacation. It was nice to be away for a little while, even though I was only an hour and a half away. The dogs were so little that I wish I could remember what breed they are. It was the first time I seen them and stayed at my mom's. The only thing about being that close is your kids still find you and call you with their problems. They knew I needed some alone time but that didn't matter to them. Then I come home and my grandson is staying the night. It turned it to having him for three days. He is just so active. I needed a vacation from my vacation. There is so much more to tell but I won't bore you with it all.

 

 

Isn't the boy and girl above cute.  Limited Runs is sponsoring our challenge this week. We are going to work with things with wings. My image that I chose was called Freddy The Turkey. Yes, I am thinking of Thanksgiving already. I'm really trying to get some of my cards done early so I can spend more time shopping and wrapping. Freddy The Turkey is so adorable. Here is Freddy the Turkey on the card that I made for Thanksgiving.

 

See the coloring in the feathers. I thought that it turned out great. I was shocked that I could get all the little feathers to stand out.
