I hope everyone is having a nice start to their day. I'm still drinking the coffee to wake me up. It's been a very long and stressful week here. We are getting to the end of the loan process and hopefully close on our new home this Friday. The loan officer says that we will close and then he says it will be real close to it. I have everyone lined up to help me move and my husband took his vacation to try and get everything moved. He better make it work so we close Friday. I can clean our old house the week after. I am getting excited but preparing myself in case things don't work out the way it should. I will let you know how the process is going.

We have a great sponsor that has been here before. It's Dragonsmoore, Spyder's Other Corner. Every Wednesday you would want to go and see the Freebie for the day. Who doesn't like free. She also has an amazing image called the Snowy Oak Tree. There is a lot of detail in this tree and I love the images with lots of detail. Since we were doing Christmas in July I used the cutest image. He is called, "Hedgie's Christmas Tree." He is trimming the tree with his son or could be daughter if you like. Bunch of presents under the tree they are working on. So, since we are doing Christmas in July I decided to make a scrapbook layout with more pictures from our Christmas in 2014. This one has pictures of my husband and him mom. It's very rare to get a picture of my husband so when I took these two I was lucky. I also never have made a scrapbook page with his mom on one. I also have two pictures of our Christmas Tree on the page. So let's see what Dragonsmoore, Spyder's Other Corner is giving to a lucky winner this week.

I'm really excited to show you this layout. I really think it turned out nice. So here it is.

I loved coloring the hedge hog. There are three different colors in his fur. I did use the lines and colored each one a different color. I think it turned out great. This was really a fun image to work with. I was going to make the image larger but then I thought that's all you would see more then the whole layout. This is the first layout that I used six pictures in. Trying to do something new with every layout. Here are the items I used to make this.

Cardstock -- The Paper Studio & My Paper Stash
Paper -- DCWV & Canvas Corp.
Presents -- Dress It Up
3D Glitter Christmas Trees -- Christmas Crafts

I'm not sure if I told you last week but I will be gone during August but always check back because I might get a chance to make some of the cards. I really hope you like my layout and please leave me a comment. You can see all the projects our wonderful design team made at Robyn's Fetish Challenge Blog. Invite your friends. Good Morning!! Wow is it hot out today. It has been all weekend and I'm hating it. Yesterday the heat index was 104. I don't like hot weather at all. It was even to hot to sleep. So, you probably know by now that I do not have central air. Only one window air conditioner that is in the living room and it can't keep it cool enough so you can feel comfortable. In the winter you can add as many clothes and blankets you want but in the summer you can only take off so much. The rest of the family enjoy the heat. They had to get that from their father because is sure isn't me.

When I seen this challenge the first thing I thought of was "The Little Mermaid." The song popped in my head and I couldn't get it out the rest of the day. I wrote down the sentiments that I could use if it fit with the card I made. I will tell you none of them did. Before I get into any more of my ideas and card, I want to let you know who our sponsor is. KPM Doodles is who that sponsor is. They have sponsored us before and we just love when they come back and sponsor again. They always have great images for us to use. This time we were allowed to use the set called,"Bright Sea Creatures." Since this is a set there are 10 different sea creatures that we could choose from. Here is the prize they will be giving out this time.

2 Sets
KPM Doodles Store

You heard about the set we used. They had ten images and they are giving away 2 sets. That is really a great prize. Out of the ten images I used four of the images. You will see them but I used the fish, starfish, turtle, and octopus. My main focus was the octopus. I just thought he was adorable. So here is the card with my sea creatures.

I know it is hard to see but the background papers have sea shells on them and the other is water. After I started getting to the center it looked like I used to many layers of paper and you couldn't see the patterned paper. When You look at it in the real life you can see it better. So let me get to the items that I used to make this sea creature card.

Cardstock -- Core' dinations & The Paper Studio
Paper -- Paper Pizazz
Pooped Up Embellishments -- Dress It Up
Colored Markers
Colored Pencils

Not to many items but enough to make this card cute. I really hope you like it. I would love for you to leave a comment to let me know what you think. It's always nice to hear what people think about what you make. Robyn's Fetish Challenge Blog is where you will see all our projects the design team made with these great sea creatures. Well, I will be gone in August due to me moving but keep checking back in case I did get a chance one week to make a project. Have a beautiful day and enjoy the rest of the summer before school starts.

Welcome to another "Anything Goes" challenge. We all know that we love these kind of challenges because you can show anything that you would love to share. I'm sure their are projects out there that are just waiting to be seen but need a challenge like this to show them off. I love to see all the different projects they are being made. I sometimes would love to try and make something close to something different that I never seen before. We all would like to add something new to show how diverse we can be. We all know that this challenge will have three sponsors. So, let's go and meet the first one and see what they will be giving one of our lucky winner's.

Sponsor #1

I love this etsy store. I really love vintage and they have vintage graphic images and vintage advertising. There are more categories but I wanted you to know that they do have vintage because there are a lot of people out there that make wonderful projects with the vintage images. Cottage Rose Graphics will be giving a prize of  $20.00 for you to spend in their store. I'm sure there are a lot of you that would love to get this prize. I know I would. On to the second sponsor.

Sponsor #2

As you can see by their banner, they have beautiful images. There are a lot of fairies and adorable girl images. This is one that you definitely need to go and look at. They also have fantasy art as you can also see by their banner. The projects that were made with these images are beautiful. They are on the Challenge Blog. Ching-Chou Kuik Fantasy Art is giving 3 digital images for their prize. Another one that you would love to work for.  Now, to the third sponsor and the one that I chose my image from.

Sponsor #3

Let me show you the image that I used from Fresh Brewed Designs, It is called Row Of Ornaments which makes you think of Christmas

Fresh Brewed Designs is also a nice store and has different categories then the others we have already talked about. They  have the digital images but they also have digital paper and digital sentiments to use. You can make a whole project by going there and getting all that stuff. You can do some of this with the prize they are giving which is 3 Digital images. You would then only have to buy the sentiment and the paper. Now I will show you the Scrapbook Layout that I made with a Row of Ornaments.

I thought a card would be to easy to make since there wasn't much you could have made with it. At least I couldn't come up with a more colorful card. I have, as you know, been trying to scrapbook layouts for my family album. I have done more this year then I have for the last four years.

I hope you enjoyed learning about our sponsors and the layout that I created for this challenge. I will let you know that I will not be doing a project in August due to me moving. So I will see you in September and have a Wonderful rest of summer before those children go to school. Just bring your projects to Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge Blog

Good Morning Everyone!! Hope you have a very nice week and are enjoying your weekend. It's actually hasn't been to bad where I am. I did get some good news Friday. My fracture in my ankle is healing nicely that I'm aloud to take my boot off but have to go and buy an ankle brace because when they did my MRI they found that I had torn many ligaments around my ankle. That's why the ankle is so swollen. Then I get to start physical therapy to get it stronger and help those ligaments. This was the part that I wasn't happy about. If they do not get better they are sending me off to surgery. I really don't want to end the summer with something else wrapped on my ankle. That's my weekly update.

Our sponsor this week is The Cutting Cafe. I have to say that this store is one my favorite places to go and get images. When you go there they have many categories that you wouldn't even imagine. The shaker cards that they have at the top of the page are absolutely adorable. You will also see that they have new images for the month of July. They have a full catalog page that lists sets that they also carry. The set of birds that I used for my card is called, "Fun With Owls." There are two pages of different owls and two pages that had sentiments that went with the owls. I chose to use the reindeer owl with the sentiment, "Season's Greetings From OWL Of Us." I have my bird, sentiments and the beginning of Christmas cards. I don't think I did to bad with this challenge. So, here is the prize for our lucky winner.

3 SETS Of Images

I did make two of the owls and the one sentiment that went perfect with the reindeer. Before I tell you more about my card, let me show you what I came up with.

I don't think that it turned out that bad. I just loved this paper I found and used it. The colors were great together for a Christmas card. The reindeer embellishments are a little goofy but I thought they fit right in. The only thing I wish I did was make the antlers a little bit darker. With the bright colors that don't stand out as much as they used to but it is a home-made card. Here's that list of supplies.

Cardstock -- The Paper Studio
Paper -- DCWV
Sentiment -- Came With Set
Buttons and Reindeer -- Dress It Up
Colored Markers
Colored Pencils

I can't believe that I'm at the end. This post was very easy to write. Well I hope everyone has a Great Week. Please come and join our challenge this week at The Robyn's Fetish Challenge Blog

Sunday, July 5, 2015

Hello!! Hope you have had a great July 4th weekend. I'm sure the fireworks were beautiful everywhere. My husband and I just look around to our neighbors on the block to set off their own fireworks. That's about all we do.The kids go and do their own thing so it's just us now. Fireworks has never been my husbands thing unless he has his own to do. We really don't have the place to let any off here. I really can do without. Also, my dog is terrified of fireworks. She really goes nuts and howls every time she hears one. We have to keep here in the house because she tries to claw through the fence to get out. She has many scratches on her snout from doing it the other day.

We are at a challenge that we all love. The "Anything Goes" challenge. As you know I try to do some kind of layout for my family album and the image I chose for this week went perfect with the idea I had. I used the image called "Smart Owl" from our great sponsor Robyn's Fetish Challenge Blog. She had this cute owl that is a grad from our school. This went perfect with the pictures I had of my Grandson graduating from pre-school. I'm so glad she let me use this one. I used the owl and then rotated it so it looked the the owls had their backs together. They didn't end up together but are still adorable. Here is the prize that Robyn with be giving this week.

3 Digital Images

Remember that Robyn just released 15 new digital a few weeks ago. You could get 3 of those new ones. That would be great for a prize. Now this is my little pre-school grad.

I totally love this page. It was easy to come up with and I love the way the owls turned out. I colored the owls as close to the blue that my grandson was wearing. In person it's so close that you would think it is the exact same color. The owl is colored in two light colors of brown. I just want to tell you so you didn't think it's just one boring color. I added some 3D chipboard school pieces and crayons. Here is where all the items came from

Cardstock -- The Paper Studio
Paper -- The Paper Studio
ABC's & 123's Bottom Strip -- Jolee's Boutique
Crayons On Middle Picture -- Dress It Up
3D School Embellishments -- The Paper Studio (La Petites)
Colored Markers
Colored Pencils

I hope you like the layout. It is part of a two page layout that wasn't done when I did this. It will probably take another half hour. The to pages are adorable together. On the other page, I wrote the story of the evening so everyone could sense what happen when I was there. I hope that the rest of today will be more fun with family and friends and enjoy every minute. I have a great little birthday party to go to. My cute little great nephew who is turning two. So, see you next week
