ROBYN'S FETISH CHALLENGE #290 "WET OR DRY EMBOSSING"

Hope everyone is having a happy morning. I've been fighting a sinus infection but I get them every time the weather changes. I wish I knew why but this has been happening for years. The only good thing that happen this weekend is that I kept my grand kids for the weekend. They wanted to play with their aunt and uncle more than us. It was nice to just watch them. They grow up to fast. The one funny thing was when we were on our way home they kept talking about banana's. Finally, I did ask them what they were talking about and it was funny. They thought the moon looked like a banana and found it funny. The things they think of and amuse their selves with.

Let's get to the challenge which I chose to use the dry embossing. I can be honest and say I have not tried wet embossing. It is something that I need to learn though. I was so lucky this week to use and image from Aurorawings. The image is called, "Sea Turtle Kiss." Beautiful little girl underwater with her turtles. I have to honestly say that I have bought many of Mitzi's images. They are beautiful and fun to color. Every once in awhile she will sell one of her new coloring books. Something you may want to watch for. So, Thank You Mitzi for letting me use this beautiful image. Mitzi is giving this to a lucky winner.

Let's see the card that I made with "Sea Turtle Kisses."

See, she is very beautiful. I took some leaves and used glue dots to keep them together to make is look like seaweed. Found these turtles inside a button and took them apart to add some more of them. Then I added the bubbles to make it look like they are breathing coming up. You can't see the background paper that good but it is the same pattern as the embossing on this card. Now let me tell you where I bought everything.

ROBYN'S FETISH CHALLENGE #254 "PEARLS OR GEMS"

Good Morning to everyone out there. Hope you have had a great week. Mine has not been a good one. I love the snow but the ice that hides under it is horrible. I have actually fell twice this week that has really messed up my back and it has made my neck really sore. I was more embarrassed when I fell in front of my daughter and her boyfriend. We were leaving their Winter Concert and on my way to the car I fell on black ice. Walked out to the school the same way but on the back that ice was there. That was also the first night that I met her boyfriend and his parents. I will never forget that night now when I met him.

We have a new sponsor this week and I think you will really like her work. I was buying her images before she sponsored us this week. Aurora Wings is this great sponsor I have been talking about. If you get a chance you really need to see her store. The image that she let me use for this challenge is called "Camellia Sprite." She has beautiful flowers and a butterfly in and around her hair. I found this paper that I thought would be great to go with her. Looks a little antique. I'm really excited to show you my card so you can see this beautiful image so I will tell you what she is giving to that one lucky winner.

ROBYN'S FETISH CHALLENGE BLOG # 200 "FAIRIES, ELVES, SPRITES OR PIXIES"

Good Morning!! Hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend. It's been quite nice here this weekend. It felt a little like Spring. I don't need to get use to that yet. I know winter is not over. Even though we are still in winter, my daughter started practices for the soccer tryouts. She will be a freshman next year and you have to tryout to be on the teams now. She is really nervous about this but she met some of the high school students that taught her some things she didn't know. The coach even gave her a good remark. I hope she makes it this year. I have confidence in her so I know she will be on the team. They haven't said when the tryouts will be yet. It seems everything goes fast anymore. Let's get to the challenge.

We have a brand new sponsor this week. The sponsor is Aurora Wings. Their digital stamps are great and I'm glad that I was able to chose Himalayan Blue Poppy. Since our challenge has four different categories, I was able to chose from the Fairy section. If anyone knows me real well they will know that I love Angels. This fairy was the closest that I came to one. She is very beautiful with these flowers around her. Here is the prize you will be working for this week's challenge.

Here is the card that I made with the Himalayan Blue Poppy that I named the card Blue Poppy Garden.

I looked at several pictures of the Himalayan Blue Poppy so I could get my flowers as close as they really looked. I hope you can see that I did get as close as I could. It was however a little hard to find the right blues to color the flowers. I do hope you like that way that it turned out. Now, the items that I used.

Cardstock --Close To My Heart & The Paper Studio
Paper -- DCWV
Frame -- Cricut Machine with Fancy Frames Cartridge
Flower's -- Close To My Heart & The Paper Studio
Metal Flowers On White Flowers -- Close To My Heart
Colored Markers

Well, I'm glad to see all the friendly faces coming back to read my post. Feel free to share this card with others. Some people might like to just look. There are more cards on the Robyn's Fetish Challenge Blog that our great design team has made. If you would like to make a card and enter it, just go to the blog and enter. Everyone is welcome. I hope you all have a Wonderful Week ahead.
