ROBYN'S FETISH CHALLENGE # 298 "SQUARE CARDS"

Good Morning, Afternoon or Evening. That is where ever you are at the time you are reading this. Hope things were good with you this past week. This week I was lucky to catch the flu from my son who brought it home from work. This just messes with my creativity. I can't think of sketches or anything that well. I do hope you think the project that I did come up with is beautiful.

The East Wind is our sponsor for this week's challenge. This is an etsy store where you can buy their digital stamps. As of now, they have 299 different images. That is a lot to look at and to choose from. So the image that The East Wind was gracious enough to let me use is called, "Aurora - Lost Lagoon." She is very beautiful and is putting her hand in water to pet a king fish. I say he is a king fish because the fish has a crown on his head. The way this image is designed is amazing. I really fell in love with it. I did use a background paper that looks like water and put a light blue piece of paper on part of the top to break it up. I come up with "Hello My Friend" for the card since the girl is petting the fish underwater. It looked a little plain so I added some flowers at the top. Let me tell you what The East End is giving as a prize before I show you the square card I made with this image.

Thank You for the prize you are giving to our lucky winner this week. Now here is the card that I made with Aurora - Lost Lagoon

I really hope you you like the image. The picture was hard to take a picture for some reason. The card is darker then what it looks like here. The fish has three different colors on it. What looks like white spaces is actually a light blue. It's time for me to have my camera looked at. Just to make sure everything is working properly. I do think the flowers made the card look so much better. So, let me tell you where those flowers came from and the other items.

Cardstock --  The Paper Studio
Paper -- DCWV
White Flower and White Leaves -- Prima Flowers
White Spray Clusters -- Wild Orchid Flowers
Blue Flowers -- Hobby Lobby

I want to Thank You for stopping and reading my post. Would love to hear some comments from you to see how my card looks. Then when you are finished with your project just go to Robyn's Fetish Challenge Blog and enter it. The Design Team have made cards of their own and you can look at them for some inspiration.

ROBYN'S FETISH CHALLENGE #282 "ORIENTAL STYLE"

Good Morning. Hope you're enjoying the first weekend of fall. Of course, our first day was rainy and did stop before my daughter's 16th Birthday Bonn-Fire. We totally went and did something different then her friends have done in the past years. We had hay bales, smores, and a lot of food and cake. We even have food left to have dinner again today. It did get very cold so us old folk came in for the heat of the house and leave her to her friends. She had a great time and that I am grateful for. It was all worth it in the end.

The East Wind is sponsoring this week's oriental challenge. They were kind enough to let me choose one of their images. The image I chose is called "Aurora Cabbage Butterflies." The name just screams oriental. The East Wind has very beautiful images. I love the way the hair flows or is put up in some kind of fashion. I love butterflies and the dress the lady was wearing. I can honestly tell you that I'm still trying to get the hang of making oriental cards. I don't know why but my mind goes blank when I think of making something. Maybe if I get an oriental book and read it, I could learn more and then know more of what to make. So before I show you what I did make I want to tell you what the East Wind is giving as a prize this week.

You will have no problem finding something that you will like from their etsy store. So, here is my interpretation of an oriental card.

Since their was butterflies in the name I wanted to put butterflies on the card. The other paper I wanted to use I thought would be perfect but couldn't come up with anything else to go with it. So I used the butterfly paper and embossed cardstock with a butterfly folder. The flowers did remind me of oriental so I hope they so match the theme. Here are where the items came from.

Cardstock -- The Paper Studio
Paper -- Colorbok
Embossed Butterflies -- Cuttlebug Folder
3D Butterfly -- K&Company
Flowers -- Wild Orchid Crafts
Colored Markers
Colored Pencils

I hope you enjoyed the way I made my oriental card. I wanted to make the dress with different colors so I hope you can figure out all three colors. This did take me a little while. I can't wait to see what your take is on oriental. So go to The Robyn's Fetish Challenge Blog and enter your card. You will also find information on how to become a member of our design team. We really do have fun and were like a family. Have a Great Week and I will see you next week with a different challenge

ROBYN'S FETISH CHALLENGE #270 "ADD LACE"

Waking up to rain is been like this for the couple of past days. I totally love it but my kids are getting aggravated with it. I can't do anything anyway because I still have this boot on my leg from my fractured ankle. I do get to go this Wednesday to see if it has healed completely. I have had this thing on for two months and I'm ready to burn it. I'm very sentimental about keeping things and everyone wanted to know if I would keep this also. I said I will burn it. There is nothing sentimental about this thing. I can't do a lot of things with it and I'm trying to pack and clean this house up for when we move. So far they said everything is great with the loan. It's just going to take longer to get the approval.

Who wants to add lace to their card? I have done a few with lace and they always look pretty. It makes a great border for the image you use or the border around the card. Any way you use lace it's a great added touch. So, this week our sponsor is The East Wind. This is a very unique store as her categories are named very different. She has Lucy Loo, Mon Amour Collection, and many more unique categories. Take a visit there and I'm sure you will definitely find something that you like. The East Wind is giving this prize for our challenge winner.

Now the image that I chose to use is called "Flower Fairy and Birdie." I love this little fairy and the bird that is laying in her hands. I made the little bird yellow so she could stand out. Here is the card

Isn't she a beautiful fairy. The card is a little darker then shown here. When I cropped it and put my signature on it, the program focused on the flowers more then the rest of the card. My lace that I added to my card is the lace flower that I made. I wanted to try something different with my lace this time. I think it turned out pretty for my first time making one. Now that I made one I want to try different colors. You may see more on my cards in the future. Here are my items that I used to make this card.

Cardstock -- The Paper Studio
Paper -- Colorbok
Frame Behind The Fairy -- Spellbinders Nestabilities (Decorative Curved Square)
Lace Flower -- I Made With Decorative Trim
Gemstone In The Middle Of Flower -- The Paper Studio
Flowers With Beads Hanging Out -- Hobby Lobby
All Other Flowers And Leaves -- Wild Orchid Crafts
Colored Markers
Colored Pencils

I did use a lot of materials to make this card. I didn't put a sentiment as I could use it for many occasions. So, I would love to hear your opinion on my card. The challenge is at The Robyn's Fetish Challenge Blog and you will see more images that the Design Team made from The East Wind. Hope you enjoy everything and I will finish up right now. Wish me luck for my boot this week and I will see you all next week. Happy Sunday.
